Creating Pop-Up Windows in SAS Visual Analytics with Info Windows
SAS Visual Analytics is a very highly visual tool where graphical representation of data is commonly used. Although graphs are very powerful, sometimes having the detail is also important.
With Info Windows, users can create striking reports as pop-up windows can be created without taking space on your display screen.
Firstly we can create a simple bar chart using a Report section on the Report Builder.
Secondly we can create a second report section, but change its default properties into being an Info Window.
On my Info Window we can include a cross tabulation object containing a breakdown of car sales by the Type and Make.
A list of created Info Windows will be displayed allowing us to select the one that needs to be linked to this object
Once completed, the report can be visualised. A double click on a bar will display the table with the breakdown by make. The filtering is done automatically, so a selection on the Truck bar will only display the breakdown by Truck.
Finally we can link the two sections together by returning to initial Car Details section containing the graph and with a right mouse click select Add Link and Info Window link.
