Team Building in the Brecon Beacons!
At the end of September, many of the Amadeus team enjoyed a weekend away together funded by the company. This is an annual trip and we choose a new destination each year. Previous destinations have included Amsterdam, Prague and San Sebastian. This year, we headed to the Brecon Beacons with high hopes of great food, gorgeous scenery and the chance to relax together outside of work. It’s safe to say we weren’t disappointed!
The Saturday morning saw a bright and early start for everyone as we set out on the challenging six mile four waterfalls walk. It was hard-going at points but we were rewarded with some incredible views en route. Later in the day we headed to the local Penderyn Distillery for a tour (and some delicious tasters at the end!). Then it was time to explore some of the nearby pubs, sampling the local ales and food. Dinner was a triumph – the pub had a great atmosphere and the food was fantastic!
Sunday saw us split into separate teams, with some of us tackling the impressive Pen Y Fan – the highest peak in South Wales – whilst others explored the nearby Cyfarthfa Park & Castle. Finally, it was the end of our weekend and we all headed home to catch up on some sleep after a hectic but brilliant weekend… and we’re already looking forward to next year’s trip!
